Da Elisa alle Sette Arti Hotel provides
charming rooms in the historical centre of Lucca, in one of the most
beautiful and elegant areas within the sixteenth century walls.
As soon as you enter the reception hall you sense the charms of Lucca's
historic homes. All of the rooms show features of the nineteenth century
architecture - delicate decorations are painted on most chandeliered
ceilings, and the floors are decorated with wonderfully coloured and
ornately patterned tiles.
The hotel style lodging is opposite the church of San Micheletto and
is just a two minute walk away from the Orto Botanico (Lucca's botanical
garden) and from the famous town walls.
Da Elisa alle Sette Arti is housed in a large nineteenth century building
- sun lit and decorated with art-deco furniture - found in the eastern
part of town; from Porta Elisa one reaches the town centre through
the charming Piazza San Micheletto - where many artistic and musical
performances take place - along Villa Bottini - Elisa Baciocchi (Napoleon's
sister) residence - down through the marvellous Porta San Gervasio,
a relic of a second wall around Lucca, along Via dei Fossi, and
farther down to Piazza Santa Maria Bianca.
